Walking

There are a superb range of walks on the doorstep. Surrounded by limestone dales, local highlights include Dovedale.

For something more challenging, the southern end of the Pennine Way is only a few miles away or Kinder Scout, England's highest plateau at 2,088ft.

Cycling and Horseriding

Accessible three miles from the cottage, the seventeen mile High peak Trail, linking the Tissington Trail and the Cromford Canal is an excellent traffic free route for cyclists and horse riders. Cycle hire is available throughout the summer, plus weekends and main holidays.

A secure bike store and drying room is out at the rear of the cottage.

Fishing

Trout fishing is available by day ticket on two stretches of the River Wye or bank or boat fishing on several still waters of various sizes within the National Park. P.A.A.S has trout river fishing on stretches of the Dove, Derwent and Dane and a reservoir, Lamaload, all within half an hour's drive of the cottage. Please ask for further details.
